My best friend's very rainy Lancashire Wedding
I was very pleased to be asked to photograph this Lancashire wedding at the Red Hall Hotel, near Ramsbottom as the Bride and Groom are very dear friends of mine. I think they picked the wettest day of the year to get married though! It literally didn't stop raining all day but this didn't seem to dampen their spirits, the guests were ready for a good party and it was lovely to see Jane and John so happy. Their two gorgeous boys were brilliant and very well behaved page boys.
They did a lot of the work themselves for the day, the table plans, place names and favours which always makes it feel much more personal. The flowers were provided by Rachel of Ruby Doodles who I've worked with on several weddings and who did the flowers for our own wedding.
Although I was working for most of it, I did really enjoy the day and I got chance to sit down during the evening and catch up with friends. I would like to especially thank John's Best Man - Mark who has to have been the most helpful Best Man I've met at a wedding. It was very much appreciated especially as I was 6 months pregnant at the time! Here is the story of their day.
