The Best of 2015 in pictures

What a busy year 2015 was! I didn't quite realise how many shoots I did until I started looking through them to write this blog post! I have concentrated more on the business portraits and commercial photography side of my business this year, I find I really enjoy these types of shoots and they fit in really well with family life. I have had the pleasure of photographing some beautiful children and families too and a couple of weddings, one being for my lovely Step Brother and Sister in Law. Hope you like this selection of images and if you are new to my work, hope it gives you a good idea of what I do as I never have the time to blog it all!
At the start of the year I had the pleasure of photographing the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards Semi Final presented by Mark Radcliffe at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal. It's been a regular job for me for a few years now and always very enjoyable. The young musicians are very inspiring and extremely talented.
I have regular work with Wright Marshall, shooting headshots for all their staff and in early February, I did some work for VI Resourcing who supply educational resources for the visually impaired.
Some natural light headshots for Rob Mitchell James who needed some professional actor headshots for his portfolio.
Headshots for Joanna Howarth from The Happiness Club, we met through BizMums. Amazing lady, check her out if you want to be happier in your life.
Chester Portrait Day with some fab people running their own businesses.
Gill & Steve's romantic wedding at Cranage Hall in March.
It's always a fun night capturing the energy and suspense of a property auction for Wright Marshall
The first out of three shoots for William when he was 4 months old - gorgeous, happy boy.
I do regular work for Pozzoni Architects, always enjoyable and their new swanky reception area is a great space for natural light portraits and group shots when the weather isn't playing ball.
I met Amanda White through BizMums, a fellow natural light photographer based in Stone. We did a shoot swap and we got some lovely family portraits in exchange for these business portraits.
I get such a lot out of networking with BizMums, I now host a group in Nantwich that started in May. We meet on the 3rd Monday of each month (in term time) at Gym Juniors.
I love photographing creative businesses and you can't get much more creative than Rachel from Ruby Doodles Florist. As well as being a talented florist, she also makes beautiful personalised wooden gifts.
Ben & Lindsay's engagement shoot in Castlefields Manchester.
Business portraits for Amanda Rudham, Travel Counsellors and Dominic Toft from Wright Marshall in June.
June & July were the months for new babies, two lovely families were blessed with gorgeous newborns - Baby Jenkins and Baby Phoebe. I always feel so honoured to be asked to capture this precious time.
We arranged to meet up with lovely friends while we were on holiday in Devon during July.
Ben & Lindsay's wedding at Manchester Town Hall in August. Beautiful venue, amazing day and lovely to catch up with family too.
Rob & Delyth at their beautiful home in Goostrey
Shoot two for gorgeous William at 8 months and his lovely Mum & Dad and Archie the dog! We picked a beautiful summers day for this shoot in one of my favourite local locations.
Commercial shoot for Mandy King of Kings Curtains
September Business Portraits for broadcaster Robert Reed at Media City and Paula Cohen from Taylory.
James' 3rd Birthday celebrated with family, the highlight for James being a fab dairy free Toy Story cake made by Lindsay and her team of helpers.
Sahana & Arry's maternity shoot in Queens Park, Crewe.
The Annual BizMums Conference and Awards at the Manor House Hotel in Alsager in October. I was a Finalist for Two Awards this year!
A commercial shoot for Inforlogic at their Birmingham offices.
Cheshire East 'Fresh' School Dinners, nothing like I remember school dinners used to be, they looked delicious!
The highlight of my Christmas is a couple of chances to see this lovely talented bunch "St Agnes Fountain". Always gets me in the festive spirit, James is now a big fan too!
Right at the end of the year, literally a few days before Christmas, I got to photograph Sahana and Arry's beautiful newborn twin boys, I'll definitely be blogging more of these images soon.
..and here's my gorgeous boy looking so pleased with himself after decorating our tree. He did a fab job too!
So there's my photographic year and thanks for reading this far, it was a long one!
Thank you to all my loyal clients and friends and family who have supported me throughout the year, I'm looking forward to what's in store in 2016
Love and Best Wishes
