Classical Kids Concerts at St Mary's Church in Nantwich

Classical Kids is a new series of classical music concerts for babies and children held at St Mary's Church in Nantwich and run by Andrea Clews. Andrea encourages the children to get out of their seats, join in and dance, they can see the instruments up close and even have a try themselves. These images were taken at the first ever concert which was held to gauge interest and get some feedback from local parents and carers. Andrea asked me to come along and capture the event so that she had some professional images to promote future concerts.
I took my 3 year old son with me who has been brought up listening to live music and going to gigs since he was a few days old. As predicted, he loved it and was quite happy to have a dance in the aisles with his friends and loved playing the piano at the end of the concert.
Andrea is planning to hold one concert a month for babies and pre school children and then extra ones during the school holidays to appeal to older children aswell. There will be different instruments and musicans at each concert. Keep an eye on the Classical Kids facebook page for updates.
